Beginning Sunday, July 11th, and continuing for four weeks,
Theology-on-Tap will be hosted by 44 parishes
and ministry centers throughout the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Launching its 24th year this summer, Theology-on-Tap
is the most successful and longest running program for young
adults anywhere in the United States.
Theology-on-Tap offers young adults (20s and
30s, both married and single) opportunities to experience the
hospitality and wisdom of the Catholic Church in four very special
ways. We hope you will join us to:
1) Enjoy presentations
on key issues and important topics.
2) Learn from quality speakers
who are both engaging and knowledgeable.
3) Enter into good conversation
with your peers.
4) Explore wisdom and insights for
living life well.
If you have never been to a Theology-on-Tap
session, this summer is a great time to begin.
On this web site you will find all the Theology-on-Tap
locations, topics, speakers, dates and session times. Also,
you will find the strategies for "tapping into" Theology-on-Tap.
If you have participated in Theology-on-Tap
before, seek out some new speakers and topics.
Many of our veteran speakers are presenting new and interesting
topics and talks this summer.
Right now, mark your calendar for Sunday, August 8th,
2004, 3:00 - 7:30 p.m., at Holy Name Cathedral. That
is the date, time and place of the grand finale celebration
for Theology-on-Tap. Young adults from all of the Theology-on-Tap
locations will assemble in the Cathedral for Mass celebrated
by Cardinal George. After Mass, all young adults are welcome
to join with the Cardinal at a wonderful picnic on the lawn
of his residence. You can secure your reservation and tickets
for the picnic at any Theology-on-Tap hosting
locations. Tickets for the picnic
cost $12 and should be purchased in advance.
