Parish Young Adult Groups and Activities
Often, young adults call looking for places near them where their peers are gathering. Below is a list of the groups and activities of which we are aware. Please call the contact people listed for further information. Don't forget to check the website for updated information, either. St. Alphonsus Church 1429 W. Wellington. St. Alphonsus has a thriving young adult community. We organize many social and faith sharing events.. Once a month we go to a bar a meal and beverages after mass. A great opportunity to meet other young adults. We send out monthly emails to let people know about our upcoming events.

St. Barb’s Young Adult Ministry organizes several events throughout the year for young adults between 18-40 years old, single & married. Our group focus on Catholic faith, service & social enrihments. We hold special events every 2nd Saturday of the month unless otherwise noted. It hosts special Masses & great speakers presentations.

St. Clement Young Adult Community provides an opportunity for young adults in their 20s and 30s, married and single, to encounter Catholicism in more ways than just at Sunday Mass. Come strengthen and revitalize your faith through our weekend retreats and speaker series. Meet and serve one another and our neighbor through our service and outreach initiatives. Plug into our social network with other faith-filled peers at Tuesday night volleyball or monthly happy hour. Charis Ministries is a Jesuit ministry to those in their 20s and 30s living in the Chicagoland area. Charis offers days of reflection, retreats, speakers, and service days uniquely tailored to those in their 20s & 30s. Rooted in the tradition of St. Ignatius Loyola, Charis programs foster spiritual growth through education, service, and reflection.

The community of young adults at Holy Name is very active, and includes: students at local MBA or Law programs, natives of Chicago and those new to the area. Activities include Bible studies, reading and discussion groups, Theology on Tap (a summer speaker series), sailing at Navy Pier, museum trips, volleyball, summer softball, movie outings, volunteer work at shelters, and organizing gift and clothing drives for those in need. We also gather with young adults from neighboring churches for Multi-parish happy hours and an annual Christmas party (with over 700 attendees).

RCYA is an organization that includes area young adults from Our Lady of Lourdes, St. Matthias, Queen of Angels and Transfiguration and is centered in the Ravenswood community. It provides service, spiritual & social outreach to build God's kingdom within our hearts and the community for Catholics in their 20s and 30s, married and single. NW Suburban Young Adult Ministry

The NW Suburban Young Adult Ministry ("YAM-NW") is a network of Catholics in their 20s and 30s living and working in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Our goal is to connect young adults with others their age and to bring them closer to God and learn more about their faith. We host several events including: Small Christian Communities (groups of 6-10 YAs that meet weekly for bible study and faith sharing), social outings, Catholic speaker series, service projects, sports leagues, prayer nights and more. The Graduate Student and Young Adult (GYA) group at Sheil is a group of adults in our 20s and 30s, married and single from the entire Evanston community. We come together to learn from each other, serve the community, just have fun, and develop our faith.
